Taro bun is delicious here. I keep coming back here for it.

The other buns are good too but I find the taro hands down is the best in Chinatown.

They also have larger cakes for celebrations.

Since my cell phone didn't have a international data plan to use yelp for the check in... Istead I am gonna write a yelp review for The Boss Bakery & Restaurant... During my Pacific Northwest Tour of June 2018 our tour guide took us to the Vancouver Canada Chinatown and gave us some time to go and explore the Vancouver Canada Chinatown...

During that time as we were looking around at which Chinese Restaurant was a good place to eat at... So we found one good location and so we ended up eating at The Boss Bakery & Restaurant... Which was my very 1st time eating lunch here!!! As we got in and it's a good thing that this place wasn't too crowded yet during the lunch time hour!!!

As we got seated to our table this is the one thing... That I always like to order from the menu and that would be no other than the Mince Beef w/ Raw Egg over steam rice!!! And it wasn't that bad at all, it came out really yummy just the way how I wanted to be!!! And who knows when will be the next time... I will be back at The Boss Bakery & Restaurant!!!

If your tourist like me walking around at the Vancouver Canada Chinatown area and looking for a good Chinese Restaurant to eat at... Go to The Boss Bakery & Restaurant at the Vancouver Canada Chinatown Area!!!

Average quality food + unfriendly service + not much English communication + misunderstanding communication due to lack of English proficiency = horrible experience and waste of time and waste of food and money.

I ordered baked pork chop but baked seafood was served cuz the server doesn't speak much English. She was rude as well. When I finally got pork chop after 30 minutes, it was not even proper "pork chop". We usually order "baked" food because it is less in unhealthy fat than fried or deep fried food.

This restaurant's interpretation of "baked" and/or "pork chop" is not the same as ours. Their "pork chop" was actually just reheated pork cutlet (deep fried) covered in tomato sauce.

In addition, patrons at this restaurant are really loud. They are talking really loud and all sound like they are arguing. Also I can hear their chewing sound and it irritates shit out of me.

    Never going back.

Come here all the time for milk tea, I like that they are open early 0700, and it's relatively inexpensive ($2 for a coffee instead of what $5-6 at star bucks??).

Almost got put off once by the minimum charge per person when I came with my then girlfriend once.

Not too many places like this in vancouver proper.

The food was not bad. Been here couple times and I would say the deal is the all day breakfast A + B. The A includes Egg, ham and bun. B includes a noodle and chicken. If you get A it cost $6.95 and plus $2 you get B. The best part about this place is everything on the menu can be substitute for something else. The breakfast came with tea or coffee. So that's pretty good.

Overall you can't expect too much from this place. Its a Chinese HK style café place. Prices are not bad. Only fall back is parking. Dining here you do get $1 off parking but that doesn't cover your entire parking fee. We parked for 1hr and 15 mins and the parking lots place rounded it to the closes half hour. It costed $2.50 for parking less $1 and parking came to $1.50.

Most places if you dine here its free parking. So not cool.

Also there are lots of Chinese café style in Vancouver. Not that special at all.
